Everyday Cricut-It's My Birthday Frame

I love to alter items-So this altered frame was awesome to do.  For this project I used "Birthday Bash" cartridge.

Next you will see my NEWEST KIT for Monique Griffith Designs.... You guys know that I LOVE all of Tim Holtz products.... So this kit was so much fun and you get a ton of hardware.....Kit is done with "Home Decor" Cartridge.

"My Pink Stamper Design Project for February"

I am glad you came by to have a full view of my project. 

This is one of my favorite pictures of my girls.  They are now 19 & 11 and like each other some of the time. (ha, ha)  Actually they are really close.

I am so lucky to get to play with Robyn's stamps.  She has many new sets that were just released and I used "More Faithful Sayings".  Love is spoken here.  You want some of your own? Just click HERE to order yours..

Now to my project. For this project I used the cartridge  "Lacy Labels". 

This cartridge is a great go-to for many things.  I cut one of the labels at 10.5 with a shadow and with no shadow and attached those with pop dots.

Just to explain how I did the actual picture.  First I cut used a piece of black card stock and cut the image at 10.5" with shadow feature on.  Turn shadow feature off and cut the same image at the same size on the pink card stock.  Now for the black frame for the picture-I used another sheet of black card stock and cut the same image as I used on for the pink card stock. I then just took my picture and arranged it on this black card stock to where I liked it.  I used my adhesive and glued it down.  Then used my trimmer to trim around the top and bottom of the picture. Leaving just enough to frame the picture. 

I then started to build the page by inking and adding ribbon, bling & flowers.

I also added Diamond Stickles to the edges of many items.

I cut another image from the same cartridge at 1.5" to stamp my sentiment on.

"ALL BOY" & Blog Candy Winner

First I want to share with you a layout I did for my childhood BFF.  I was so excited to find out she bought a Cricut.  She said Monique and I inspired her.  That is what we love to do. So I made this layout for her with the Fancy Pants-"Happy Together".  This paper is fun...  I used A Childs Year & Lacy Labels.

Everyday Cricut

First of all I have to apologize for being so absent this last month.  I have been super busy fundraising for "Susan G. Komen".  We did the 5K last weekend in San Francisco and this weekend we are having a "Crop for the Cure-Swarm" with 138 of our closest friends. (ha,ha)  So many of us have been super busy every minute of the day for the past month or more.

Ok-Now to the project- "Spooktacular" made with Mini Monsters

This was a fun 2-page layout. I used the new BoBunny paper "Whoo-ligan". I also used the cardstock from BoBunny to match.

The spiderweb in the middle was cut with the Martha Stewart punch from her new halloween line. She has some really cool punches...

 I love this witch-I did use a little stickes and signo pens to add a great touch.

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!

Paper used was Scooter's vacation by Imaginisce and just colored cardstock.

Ok Campers-I decided to use the "Summer Vacation" cartridge.
Just a warning. This cart does not have layers. So again I created my own.

The map was cut out of all 3 colors at 2 1/4. The Compass was also cut out of all 3 colors at 3 inches.
The "Camping Trip" was cut out at 2 1/2 inches. The tent is 2 1/2 inches. No Vacancy at 1 1/4 inches. The arrows were cut at 1 1/2.

Another trick to these. I inserted the pieces (like a puzzle) and put tape on the back of each image to work to make it one complete image and added pop dots to the back. So on the back of the map is tape. I just chose the colors I wanted to fill in the open spaces.

On the RV-I cut it out in all colors and modified it with scissors to make the curtains, strip down side etc...

The mats were cut at 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 x 4 3/4.

Journal box is 4x3 and 3 1/2 x 4 1/4

The large mat is 4 1/2x 6 1/2 and 4 3/4 x 6 3/4

All pieces were inked with Tim Holtz distressing ink (Walnut Stain) and most important my white pen.

"lazy days of summer"

We ALL love Summer. Whether we are relaxing by the pool or taking the kids to the water park or my favorite "The Beach".

I made this layout using "Life's A Beach". The paper is My Minds Eye Surf's Up.

The turtle was cut at 2" inked and pop dotted.

The lifeguard stand was cut at 5". I cut the image and words first and then cut also at 5" just the chair in white and brown. I offset the orange paper just a bit so you could see it. I inked with Orange Marmalade by Tim Holtz. Then of course using my white pen I spruced it up a little. The sun was cut at 3".

I then cut the hibiscus in a border at 3" and cut the individual flowers at 2 1/2 in all 3 colors and inked with Walnut Stain. Using a pop dot also. And of course my white pen.

I just love this. I cut the sand castle at 2 1/2" and the pail at 1" For the sand pile I just tore a small piece of tan cardstock and embossed with Swiss Dots and inked

Ok-These guys are soo cute. These were cute at 3" and 2 1/2" with 2 layers and embossed with tiny bubbles and inked with the Orange Marmalade with a few white dots and a brown dot for the eye and a few pop dots.

The photo mats can be cut anyway you would like them. The dimensions are as follows: Left side of layout-Journal Box 3 1/2x2 3/8, 3 3/4x 2 3/4 & 4x3. Right side of layout-2 of them at 4 1/2x 5 3/8,4 1/2 x5 3/4 & 4x4 1/2.

I have to say this was such a fun layout.

I made this 2 page layout with "Independence Day". The paper I used was from Die Cuts With A View-Summer Dreams Premium stack. I used my Cutterped zigzag blade to make the edges. I inked everything with Tim Holtz-Brick.

In doing this page I cut the rocket at 3inches inking the blast and used stickles to make it shine.

The frames for the rocket is 2 3/4, 2 7/8 and 3inches. Using my blue marker to dot the edges.
The frames for the hat are 3, 3 1/4 and 3 1/2. I embossed the hat with the houndstooth cuttlebug folder and inked adges. I also used stickles around all the edges.

The firetruck was cut at 2 1/2 . I inked edges and used Signo Uniball pen to add detail. I also used pop dots to give it a little dimention.



The I LOVE USA was cut at 3 in all three colors. Since there is not a shadow for this I offset each color enough to see all colors and cuttlebugged the top layer with Swiss Dots.

I did the same with the 4th of July as it has no shadow. I cut at 5 inches in all 3 colors and used the Uniball pen to add detail. Again using pop dots and stickles.

I cut the banner at the top at 1 1/2 using the ink and Uniball pen. Added a little ribbon and buttons to it and enjoy.

The frame for the pictures for page 1 are as follows: 3 7/8 x 4 1/4 &6 x 6 1/2.
The frame for the picture for page 2 are as follows:
Base of hat-3, 3 1/4, 3 1/2
Base of rocket- 2 3/4, 2 7/8, 3
Journal box-3 3/4 x 4
Btw-The wagon was cut at 2 3/4

Song Bird "Birds of a Feather"

Hello Everyone,

I have got to get back to my blogging.  Things have been soo busy with kids and making lots and lots of kits.......

Ok-Here is my layout with the "Songbird" cart.  Just a back ground on what I am going to use the layout for.  My hubby does a volunteer job for the an organization raises "Wood Ducks".  I took pictures the last time we checked the boxes and they will go on here.

Paper used is "My Minds Eye"

I had to cute this image out 3 times to make the layering. I first cut in green and then in ivory and cut the bird and leaves off and then cut it in the really rust and cut out just the bird and distress in brown. 

I did the same on the branch and the bird cage and again for the flowers at the top of the pic.

This flower and love embellish was in the pack of paper. I just added ink, stickles and a corduroy brad.

Ok-My daughter loves the peace sign.  When I found this Doodlebug paper I knew I had to have it.  Hope you like my layout.  Kind of busy but I like it.
The cartridges used were-Cars (Peace Sign's), Mickey & Friends (Cloud's and rainbow),  Hannah Montana (for happiness & 5 reasons I love you), Paisley (Girlie words & Flowers),  New Arrival (Love), Graphically Speaking (Smiley Face)

Can I tell you I LOVE MY GYPSY?  The lookup feature it awesome.  That is why I tend to use alot of carts.

The centers of the flowers are SU corduroy brads. Love them.

Scrapbook Steals Deal of the Day-Spring Has Sprung-HAS SOLD OUT

Happy Friday!!  I was asked by Scrapbook Steals to design with this awesome kit at they are featuring today.  OMG-This kit is fantastic...  They are sure to sell out so click HERE quick... I also have to tell you that they are a great company to work with.  They always feature a deal a day.  They show the "Deal of the Day" at 9am MST to see what todays feature it. And if you are not a fan on facebook add them. 
I added a little cricuting.  The cuts from Mickey & Friends were the tree at 7 1/4, sun 1in and clouds at 3in.  The hill under the tree is from Walk in the Garden cut at 4 in. The cuts from Easter 2010 cart were eggs at 1in and bunnies at 1 1/2.

The 3-D stickers were fun to use.

This card I did just a little sewing very easy to do.   The next card I used my cricut to cut the pears at 3in.

"My Hero Mom"

Hello everyone! This is the project that is being featured on "Everyday Cricut"  click here to enter great giveaways.  A huge thank you to Joy & Melanie for this peachy opportunity. Tune in the first Saturday of next month for my next project.  (YOU WILL LOVE IT)

For my Mother’s Day project, I decided to do a 2 page layout in remembrance of my mom that passed away in January of 2007, who was my hero. I used the “Origins” line from Basic Grey, which is so fabulous and beautiful.

To create the layout, I built everything on the 2 green floral background sheets. I then added the 6x12 yellow floral piece to each side and wrapped the brown Stampin’ Up! ribbon around each page to cover the seam, adding a faux bow to the right page.

I cut the “My Hero” phrase from the Stand & Salute cartridge at 5” and trimmed off the extra stars. I also cut the shadow in the same size. The top layer of this cut is pop-dotted above its shadow for added depth. The “Mom” cut is from the Mother’s Day mini cartridge, and this was cut at 2” and layered onto its shadow. “Memories” and “beautiful” were both cut from the Home Accents cartridge at 1 ¼” and shadowed. All of the fun little flowers are from Life’s a Beach, and were cut at various sizes with layers and pop dots galore. The adorable mom with child silhouette cut is from A Child’s Year, and cut at 5” along with the shadow. All of the lighter colored cuts were lightly inked with Jumbo Java VersaMagic chalk ink. I also added some white dots with my white Signo Uniball pen.

The sweet yellow silk flowers are from Petaloo, and add just the right touch with this paper line. I cut 2 green photo mats with my paper trimmer, and these both measure 4 ¾” x 4”. The larger yellow mat is 7 ¼” x 5”. This is a great layout for black & white or sepia toned pictures, and would also work well with more modern pictures. Can you say “versatile”? Shut the front door as Joy would say. (I think she stole it from Scrap Guy)
